1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the “CLR” button and then press and hold “CLR” button for at least 8 seconds until “SERVICE” is displayed and a chime is heard.
3. Turn ignition off.

About Saab 9-5
The sedan and station wagon body styles were available on the first generation 9-5. The sedan has a drag coefficient of 0.29, while the station wagon has a drag coefficient of 0.31. (U.S. version 0.33). The wagon, which was introduced in 1999, includes innovations such as floor tracks to secure cargo and a sliding load floor to make loading easier.
The 9-5 was the first production vehicle to feature ventilated seats and, in the case of the 3.0L V6 engine, asymmetrical turbocharging.
Between the summer of 1997, when 9-5 production began, and 2010, 252,236 sedans and 231,357 wagons were built. The total production of 483,593 units was narrowly surpassed by its predecessor, the 9000, which produced 503,000 units.
General Motors sold production equipment for the first-generation 9-5 to BAIC of China in 2009.
The first-generation 9-5 is powered by Saab’s B205 and B235 straight-4 engines, as well as an Opel Ecotec X22DTH 2.2 diesel engine (Saab D223L) from 2002 in Europe, which was replaced in 2006 by Fiat’s 1.9 JTD 16V diesel straight-4. From 1999 to 2003, Saab offered a turbocharged version of the GM 54° V6 engine, designated as the B308, with a unique asymmetrical low-pressure turbocharger. (Source: Wiki)
