About Jeep Renegade
Stellantis Automobile Company’s Jeep marque is responsible for producing the subcompact crossover SUV known as the Jeep Renegade. At the Geneva Motor Show in March of 2014, it was unveiled to the general public for the first time. Production didn’t begin until late August of that same year. Following in the footsteps of the Compass as Jeep’s second-smallest offering, the Renegade will take its place in the lineup in the year 2022. The FCA Small Wide 4×4 platform, which is also shared with other FCA models, including those from the Fiat and Alfa Romeo brands, serves as the foundation for this vehicle.
The front-wheel drive configuration was the default for the Renegade, but Jeep offers two different four-wheel drive configurations as add-ons to the Selec-Terrain system. These configurations are known as Active Drive I and Active Drive Low.
Seating surfaces can be upholstered in either cloth or leather in the Renegade. It has seating for four people, a rear bench seat that folds into third and second positions, and a front passenger seat that can be folded down to increase the amount of space available for cargo.
In North America, it comes equipped with a standard Uconnect 5.0BT radio that features an AM/FM radio, Sirius XM satellite radio, voice command, a touch screen interface derived from Microsoft, iPod and USB inputs, and a 3.5-millimeter auxiliary audio input jack. Additionally, it has Sirius XM satellite radio. In addition to that, Uconnect Phone will be standard. There will be an option for a rearview backup camera. The UConnect 6.0 radio will be available as an option. It will have all of the capabilities of the UConnect 5.0BT radio, in addition to a touch screen interface developed by BlackBerry (a more compact version of the interface found on the UConnect 8.4A and 8.4AN radios), and navigation system capabilities developed by Garmin.
