Oil Reset Procedure for Honda CR-V 1997-2022
Simple to follow oil reset procedure for Honda CR-V for the year 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022.
Honda CR-V oil reset procedure for the year 1997 through 2001
1. Insert key into center slot on the front of the instrument cluster.
2. The indicator will change to green when reset.
Honda CR-V oil reset procedure for the year 2002 through 2006
1. Turn ignition off.
2. Press the “SELECT” and “RESET” switches at the same time, and turn to ignition to the “ON” position.
3. Hold switches for at least 10 seconds until the indicator is reset.
4. Turn ignition off.
Honda CR-V oil reset procedure for the year 2007 through 2012
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob until the enigne life indicator is displayed.
3. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob for more than 10 seconds, the indicator and the maintenance code(s) will blink.
4. Press the “SELECT/ RESET” knob for 5 more seconds, the maintenance code(s) will disappear and oil life will be reset to 100.
5. Turn ignition off.
Honda CR-V oil reset procedure for the year 2013 through 2015
With Multi Display:
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the up and down arrows until “VEHICLE SETTINGS” is displayed and press the “SEL/RESET” button.
3. Press the up and down arrows until “MAINTENANCE RESET” is displayed.
4. Press the “SEL/RESET” button and the oil life reset mode will be displayed. Use the up and down arrows to select “RESET” and press the “SEL/RESET button.
5. Display will disappear and oil life will be reset to 100%.
6. Turn ignition off.
Without Multi Display:
1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.
2. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob until the enigne life indicator is displayed.
3. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob for more than 10 seconds, the indicator and the maintenance code(s) will blink.
4. Press the “SELECT/RESET” knob for 5 more seconds, the maintenance code(s) will disappear and oil life will be reset to 100.
5. Turn ignition off.
Honda CR-V oil reset procedure for the year 2007 through 2022
1. Turn the ignition to the first position. Do not start the engine.
2. Press the “Trip” stem to toggle it to show “Engine Oil Life“.
3. Press and hold the “Trip” stem for about 10 seconds until the display starts blinking. Once blinking, release the “Trip” stem.
4. Turn/twist the “Trip” step to choose the “Reset” option.
5. Press and hold the “Trip” stem again, this time for 5 seconds. The Oil Life will reset to 100%.

Since 1995, the Honda CR-V has been the name of a subcompact crossover SUV that has been produced by the Japanese automaker Honda. The first generation was constructed on the same platform as the Honda Civic.

Both of these models are manufactured in China.
