Simple to follow oil reset procedure for Chrysler Crossfire 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.




Chrysler Crossfire oil reset procedure for the year 2004 through 2008.

1. Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.

2. Within one second, press the knob/button on the right side of the speedometer twice. The present status is displayed.

3. Within 10 seconds, turn ignition off.

4. Press and hold the knob/button while turning the ignition to the “RUN” position. The present status is displayed again.

5. Continue to hold the knob/button.

6. After 10 seconds, a chime will sound and “7,000 miles or 11,000 km will display for 10 seconds.

7. Release knob/button and turn ignition off.

Or you can also try this procedure.

1. Turn key to ON/ RUN position.

2. Within one second, press the reset button by the instrument cluster twice.

3. The present status for days or distance is displayed. For example, you will see a wrench and -100 miles.

4. Within 10 seconds, turn the key to OFF / LOCK.

5. Press and hold the reset button while turning the key to ON/RUN again. The present status for days or distances is displayed once more. Continue to hold the knob/button.

6. After approximately 10 seconds, a signal sounds, and the display shows 10,000 miles.

7. Release the knob/button.



About Chrysler Turn Crossfire


The term “Crossfire” refers to the two character lines that run from front to back down the body sides and intersect below the mirrors on the door panels. The name was conceived during Chrysler’s ownership by Daimler-Benz and also refers to the two companies’ teamwork.

The fastback roof and the big rear fenders created a rear end look that inspired automotive journalists and writers to link the new car to American Motors’ 1965-1967 AMC Marlin. The “distinctive boat-tail rear end that reminds more than one observer of the classic Rambler Marlin,” says one observer. “When I first saw the rear lines of the Chrysler Crossfire, I was instantaneously transported back to 1965 and my favorite automobile of that year, the Rambler Marlin,” commented Rob Rothwell. The Motor Trend also linked the sheetmetal of the 2004 Crossfire to that of the AMC Marlin fastback’s “provocative boattail theme.” Similarly, the boattail on the new Chrysler is “created as the edges of the roof converge into a kind of teardrop shape, leaving the back fenders to extend out over the rear wheels.”
