Key Programming: Nissan Versa 2007-2012

Nissan Versa 2007-2012 Key Programming Procedure
The following are the key programming procedures for Nissan Versa for the year 2007 to 2012.
ALL KEY FOBS MUST BE PRESENT WHEN PROGRAMMING NEW FOBS. (OLD REMOTES ARE ELIMINATED: BY OLDEST ONE FIRST AS NEW REMOTES ARE PROGRAMMED INTO THE VEHICLE)
1. Close and lock all doors with the driver’s side power lock/unlock switch.
2. Insert key into ignition and remove it from the ignition key cylinder at least six times within 10seconds. Your Hazard Lamps will flash if you performed this step successfully. NOTE: Withdraw key completely from ignition cylinder each time. If this procedure is performed too fast, the system will not enter programming mode.
3. Insert key into the ignition cylinder and turn to the ACC position.
4. Within 5 seconds, push ANY button on the remote transmitter. Your Hazard Lamps should flash. NOTE: Do not press the button more than one time in the above step. If the button is pressed more than one time, the programming procedure will not be successful.
5. If there are any remaining transmitters (including the old ones), unlock then lock all doors using the driver’s side power lock/unlock switch and within 5 seconds, push ANY button on the next remote. Your Hazard Lamps should flash. Repeat this step for each transmitter (including any existing transmitters).
6. Turn the key to the OFF position, remove keys from the ignition, unlock doors using the driver’s side power lock/unlock switch and open the driver side door.
7. Test remote (s).
About Nissan Versa
Most critics felt that the Versa’s performance is mediocre, with adequate power from its four-cylinder engine. The engine is mated to either a manual or a continuously variable transmission, neither of which received favorable feedback from reviewers. The Versa has a composed ride, according to critics, but nothing else about its performance stands out as good or terrible. The Versa gets up to 30/38 mpg city/highway, which is decent for the class. While the Versa sedan was completely updated for 2012, the Versa hatchback remains largely unchanged from the 2011 model.
The Versa’s cabin received high marks from reviewers for its overall spaciousness and adequate headroom. Few critics were satisfied with the quality of the materials utilized, but one did observe that given the Versa’s cheap starting price when it was new, luxury materials aren’t anticipated. The Versa is equipped with a two-speaker stereo, crank windows, and manually adjustable side mirrors as standard, however power windows and mirrors are available. An enhanced stereo, Bluetooth, satellite radio, GPS, and better seat upholstery are all available. The Versa has a trunk area of 14.9 cubic feet, which is good for the class and substantially bigger than the larger Nissan Sentra.
Nissan’s tiny Versa has always felt more robust and comfy than most other cars in its class of small, low-cost options. The same is true with the revamped, restyled 2012 Versa, despite Nissan’s major achievement of increasing gas mileage by several miles per gallon across the lineup.
Technically, only the sedan is completely new this year. The Versa Hatchback, which has been selling well and arguably still looks modern, will be available for one more model year in its current shape in 2012. That is to say, for a year, the Versa will offer varying degrees of performance, fuel efficiency, and, presumably, safety, depending on the body style you select.
The all-new Versa Sedan sports a curvier, lower roofline and a distinct appearance from the present (outgoing) model. While the dimensions are roughly the same, Nissan has dressed up those new proportions with design components from larger Nissan and Infiniti sedans, some European surfaces, and a few new design cues—including an all-new grille design that the rest of the Nissan fleet will soon receive. Inside, the design is less contentious, resembling a combination of elements and switchgear borrowed from earlier Nissan vehicles, with the dash becoming curvier at the corners and bordered by spherical, aimable vents.
