About Chevrolet Silverado HD

In 2019, General Motors released the medium-duty Silverado 4500/5500/6500HD Silverado 4500/5500/6500HD, joining the Chevrolet LCF 3500 model line. (derived from the Isuzu NPR). The medium-duty Silverado, the successor to the previous Chevrolet Kodiak and GMC TopKick, was developed in collaboration with Navistar; the latter company assembles the vehicle lines at its Springfield, Ohio facility.

Unlike in the past, GM markets the medium-duty line exclusively as a Chevrolet, with no GMC equivalent; in addition, due to a lack of divisional support for the segment, GM is attempting to rebrand the current GMC line as premium vehicles.
